The Anostraca order divides into 8 families as shown on the right branches. Sea-Monkeys are found in the Artemiidae Family.

The Anostraca Order ,AKA fairy shrimp, divides down into 8 families: Polyartemiidae, Chirocephalidae, Branchinectidae, Streptocephalidae, Thamnocephalidae, Artemiidae, Brachipodidae, and Tanymastigidae. Artemiidae is the family that Sea-Monkeys beong too. However, Artemiidae contains only one genus, one further division, and that is Artemia or brine shrimp. So, the common name for the family and genus are “brine shrimp”.
