Do you know how many items in your everyday life are controlled by microcontrollers? Almost any object that you have in your life that uses electricity is now controlled by a microcontroller. The average car has 30 simple microcomputers in them to run, your telephone, video games, remote control, TV, tablet, key fobs, and kitchen appliances to name a few. Old fashion electrical devices with dials were called analog devices and were made before semiconductors. Now, all are made with buttons and are digital because of semiconductors. Like the person who uses their computer CD drive for a coffee cup holder, people are lost today without skills in handling microcontroller devices. One of the best ways to befriend this technology is to play with it. Adopt and adapt to today's microcontroller.
